Jiayun Zhang is a Vancouver and Los Angeles-based filmmaker and screenwriter. 

 

Born and raised in Shanghai, Jiayun aims to tell stories that bring us together – exploring multiculturalism, AAPI identity and womanhood through an artistic and stylised lens. Her most recent script "Starman" was selected as 1 of 4 screenplays (out of 90 total submissions) to be made as a USC thesis film with a $12,600 budget. Aside from narrative film, her other visual interests include editorial and experimental media, which she explores through USC's Haute Magazine.
